Lash extensions or lash lift: which one should you choose

Extensions and a lash lift are two different techniques for enhancing your eyes, with quite different results and maintenance needs.

The lash lift

A lash lift works with your natural lashes: they are curled using a shaping tool, set in that curved position, and usually tinted at the same time. The result is natural, with nothing added, giving an open-eyed effect that lasts about 6 to 8 weeks, the length of the lash growth cycle.

Lash extensions

Extensions involve attaching synthetic fibres, lash by lash, to each of your natural lashes. They add length and volume, for a bolder, more customisable look. In exchange, they need more regular upkeep and an infill appointment every 2 to 3 weeks.

How to choose

If you want a subtle effect with little upkeep, a lash lift is usually the simplest option. If you want a bolder look and are happy to commit to regular appointments, extensions offer more possibilities.
